Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday- 'Winter Penguin'

Good morning!  Today I'm playing along with Throwback Thursday from Papertrey Ink, where a few of us are revisiting the Winter Penguin collection...it's a favorite of mine!

This a-dorable little penguin, from the Winter Penguin collection, is perfect for any season - Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, and always ups the 'cute factor'.  She's bow-tifully attired, subtly glittered and sending love your way!

Lots of crisp and bright, using the Bitty Bold: Pure Poppy and Bitty Bold: True Black patterned papers. I started playing with all of the fabulous combinations and may have gotten a bit carried away. So, ta-da, I made two cards with the same color palette. And ....aren't the Penned Elegance stamps and dies just beautiful??

This little mini set sure packs a big punch! Be sure to hop on over to check in on Betsy and Lizzie for more Winter Penguin inspiration!
Many thanks for taking a peek. Have a great day!

Papertrey Ink 11th Anniversary Celebration - Day 10!

                            FEBRUARY RELEASE DAY 5
+garden of faith + seasonal borders:spring
+ Feature post- huggables: bunny & chick
+ the stripes challenge!!

Today Papertrey has some exciting new products coming your way! Betsy Veldman's heard loud and clear that you’re all smitten with her Huggable animals, so there are two more adorable critters making their debut. She’s also bringing you a seasonal series of gorgeous botanical clusters and borders along with a set of beautifully designed sacred sentiments. There is a little something for everyone today!

Today I am highlighting Huggables: Bunny & Chick, the newest in Betsy Veldman's 'Huggables series'! As always, the cute factor is WAY up there, with an adorable little chick and bunny and darling little accessories - bows, hearts, petite carrots (my favorite!) and a beautifully detailed egg! The Bunny & Chick stamps and dies create sweet spring characters... perfect for Easter, birthdays, babies and more!

Lots of pretty yellows, courtesy of one of the newest Bitty Big colors, Harvest Gold, helps to create this sweet card. Surrounded by a beautiful scalloped heart, the adorable little chickie sends her love using the lovely sentiment from the new Penned Elegance, designed by the talented Jennifer Campbell!

For my second project I've allowed the beautifully detailed egg die from Huggables: Bunny & Chick to take center stage. Lots of spring colors (Hibiscus Burst, Harvest Gold, Amethyst Allure, Spring Moss), a few snips of greenery and a Classic Kraft background makes sure your recipient know how eggstra special they are!

And lastly, this beautiful little carrot-stealing little guy, hopping down the bunny trail! Plenty of Soft Stone, highlighting the lovely and delicate floral pattern of the new Bold Borders Blooming die, creates a subtle background for this little gray hare.

There's a happy abundance of beautiful sentiments and floral images in Rebecca Luminarias' new collection - You Deserve Flowers (stamps/dies), Scalloped Tags and the a-dorable Large Tulip Tag! I love the petite tulips and the fabulous 'flowers' die (and coordinating stamp!), which helped to create this spring-y little number.

Forest Floor: Spring includes lovely little Snowdrops, Lily of the Gallery, ferns and the most beautifully shaped frame, which I've embossed in gold and filled with a sentiment from the new You Deserve Flowers set. Lots of pretty greens, courtesy of the new Bitty Big: Spring Moss and a bit of sponged Aqua Mist over an embossed Quatrefoil background create this ode to Spring.

+ Glorious Globes + SHape shifters:circle 1
+Lilies of the field + words to live by: Kindness
+ a color recipe CHALLENGE!

Today Papertrey Ink is introducing a trendy globe collection by Lizzie Jones and several exciting new products from Betsy Veldman. Today’s challenge is all about creating with a color scheme and we have a lovely bunch of options for you on the Papertrey Blog HERE.

My first project highlights Lilies of the Field and Words to Live By: Kindness… both by Betsy Veldman. I went with a very Spring-y color palette for this card, letting those fabulous flowers really shine. And the Words to Live By: Kindness stamps and dies could not be more lovely or perfect..... beautiful fonts and sentiments! Oh.... and a little peek at another new Bitty Big color too!

Next up is the new Shape Shifters: Circle 1 die set from Betsy Veldman and the new Glorious Globes: Basics + Glorious Globes: February sets from Lizzie Jones. I've impressed a portion of the Shaper Shifters: Circle impression onto my card front for a bit of subtle texture and then let those beautiful little globes take center stage.
